I think it’s a kpop thing, we just love to see male idols cross dress and look like drag queens. What’s sad is N is prettier than most female idols out there.

I didn’t know what to expect out of her comeback. I mean I liked Wonder Girls but she wasn’t my favorite member. I finally decided to watch her mv and listen to her song even though it’s been out for quite a few days already. And……I really like it! The concept was sexy (big surprise in kpop nowadays), but it wasn’t slutty. In fact it was nicely done compared to many other sexy concepts I have seen lately. I don’t like her hair that much, but she pulls it off well because I still find her pretty xD. So good job to Sunmi.

Seungri- Gotta Talk to U



I watched his teaser, and I was like…..it’s all about sex. Ugh. Then he released his song and I listened to it. It was okay. I watched the mv as well and to my surprise it wasn’t 19+ LOL. Do I like his comeback? Meh. I still prefer “What Can I Do” over his new song. Not a baaad comeback but I’m not crazy about it. The song itself just didn’t click with me, I listened to it about two times and that was it.
In my opinion Sunmi > Seungri.

Rant: Kpop Promotion

I was just scrolling thru my facebook news feed, then I see this picture and I instantly thought of Japanese av actresses (I guess my mind is not that clean). OKAY. WHICH GUY LIKED PORN.

Nooope. They are Jaekyung and Hyunyoung from Rainbow dressed up for A-JAX promotion. I guess kpop industry believes that sex appeal is the best way to promote, at least for A-JAX’s company.

Also, since I’m considering majoring in nursing I find this a bit offensive. Nurses work their butts off saving and helping people. NOBODY WALKS AROUND IN A HOSPITAL LIKE THAT.

Well they do look hot. Sigh…I miss good old kpop days.

So, I was re-watching today’s performance of EXO’s Wolf (Oolf) and came to this part…



and thought that was one hell of an idol army. All 12 of them aren’t even comfortably fitted into the screen.
Then I realized…Super Junior had 13 on stage.


And now I just remembered that there’s a group with 17 members debuting?
I don’t want my eye balls to pop out trying to search for a particular eye candy in split second shots during performances so they all better be some mighty delicious candy.

First Impression: LC9-MaMa Beat

I knew they were debuting but I didn’t pay attention to them, their mv popped up on my youtube so I watched it. I looked up LC9 and I got pictures/links of guns, so I guess that kind of make sense why their mv was so violent.

At first it was just these guys fighting, and I was just like wth.



Then LOLOLOLOL WHAT IS THIS? SUPAPOWER OR FIREBALL OR WUTEVER U ARE FORMING. Oh and the guy he hits survived this energy ball with like no injuries.



I didn’t think there would be blood in this mv. Is this gonna get banned for violence? So you survived his fireball but you bleed like crazy when he hits you on the head. Kay.

Anyways then they continue to beat each other up like crazy and it’s getting disturbing for me to watch. Oh and he’s not dead yet after getting hit in the head like ten times with a brick and metal stick.



Hard to see there but he’s getting kicked in the balls. LOL can this get any worse? I want to stop watching but let’s just see how long it takes for this guy to just die.



HAHAHHAHA I SHOULDN’T BE LAUGHING BUT LOLOLOLOL. OMG. This is a different guy getting chopped up but…….seriously. Is this really a kpop mv? I’m not watching a gruesome video game right?

I managed to finish. Gawd that was awful. I hate violence, especially when it’s this gruesome. I do think sometimes netizens make a big deal out of nothing but this one, just horrible. Don’t like the concept, I didn’t even get to see a nice face of the members. Just them screaming and squishing their face cuz they are in so much “pain”. Attractive. Not interested in them at all now.

K-POP Rant: Idol or Artist

I recently came across this article that talks about SNSD’s Sooyoung wanting to be called an artist rather than an idol.

I’m sorry. No K-pop celebrity will ever be an artist. You’re either an idol or a singer. My definition of an artist does not involve music. My definition of musician does not include singers. I’ve read that someone’s definition of an artist is someone who freely creates and since Sooyoung has written a song she can be considered as one. Oh please.

You’re an idol if you’re in a young, talentless group singing cutesy songs while wearing provocative clothes to further entice with their bodies as if the dance wasn’t enough. Very general idea.

You’re a singer if you have a talent in singing. Oh my bias can sing. If you can sing better then post it on YouTube. I don’t see you on the music programs. People need to realize the difference between singing well and being a singer. If you can’t tell that apart, I can’t communicate with you.

There are some people in idol groups who are above the idol status, but lower than the singer status. They’ll always be in between because they’re part of an idol group so I’ll always see them as an talented idol. No, that doesn’t mean I think the main vocals in every group are talented.

Going back to SNSD. They’re one of SM Entertainment’s best profitable creations. Oh hey, looks like SM is an artist since it created SNSD. They’re completely SM style. The girls can “sing”, but singers? Hardly. Therefore, idol. Some of them get 2 second lines per song. What is their purpose in the group? Dancer? Visual? Filling up space? Oh, but Taeyeon’s the main vocalist. Other singers respect her. I acknowledge her singing, but to me, she’s an idol.

I just couldn’t hold in my scoff when I read the article. What’s there to debate? They’re idols. End of story.

This is all a very unorganized rant, but I was so amused that Sooyoung would think SNSD could be called an artist. My respect for idols is tiny to none. SNSD is an idol.

First Impression: Tiny-G

Yuanie showed me this picture. They’re so small. Tiny. Tiny girls. They’re little kids. Nothing against short people. It’s cute, but first impression: short.

I came across two things in my 30 seconds of research. I don’t know where I saw this or who said this but, what if their fanclub’s name was g-spot? What if indeed.

Second was their MV for their song MINIMANIMO. Just by the title, I don’t think I’ll like it at all.


A doll house. Definitely not going to like this.


She’s the rapper. I didn’t know there was a rapper in this group, but after this brief shot of her, I know. No need to wait for her part. She has short hair. Rapper.


Really using the tiny theme.

After watching the MV, I have a better opinion of them. They weren’t as cutesy and sickening as I thought. They were still plenty cute, but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

My very first impression of them still hasn’t changed. I don’t want to follow them and get to know the members at all. Not impressive. Maybe my opinion will change later. Right now, I don’t see a “later” with them.

First Impression: MR.MR's Highway

First thought: Don’t know anything about this rookie group MRMR. Honestly I stumbled upon their new mv “Highway” on my Chinese web (happens a lot lol). I decided to give it a try, so here is my mv review.

MV Review:


Liking the beat in the beginning, are they going with a dark concept? Lol the blonde, I always look at the one with blonde hair first. Their dance is pretty cool too.


Oh so there’s a storyline in the mv instead of just dancing, me gusta. She looks like she’s locked up by him. Why? Gross…can food. Why would you try to give her can food? Well I guess in this situation he isn’t rich or anything but still… Lol at the random bottle next to him.


No kpop male idol groups’ mv are complete without touching the crotch area at least once. Har.



Woaaaah now she’s trying to shot him, so he did kidnap her. Why didn’t she use the bigger gun? Anyways she didn’t actually shoot him, and the mv explains that the guy is a killer. He should of killed her but he didn’t cuz he…fell in love with her?



LOOL that’s one nicely dressed and pretty gang. They come to warn him that he needs to kill the girl. Pose with gun. Shoots her picture. Pose. Looks back. Pose. Walks out.



She dies. I didn’t feel like crying or felt bad…maybe it’s bad acting. But awww she saves him by giving up her life. Gang is still posing, ready for a photo shoot at all times. He didn’t cry when she died, I felt like it was an appropriate moment for him to shed a tear or two.



Idk why this scene haunted me so much. His driving with her dead body in the car and reaches out to stroke her face. Ugh it creeps me out!!! I remember this part the most out of the whole mv.

Conclusion: The mv was confusing at first, but then it pieces together nicely. The ending scene is still haunting me = = I’m guessing that the main guy acting is the group leader. The song is catchy, I really like the beginning part lol. I’m really glad they added a storyline in the mv, even though the acting was meh and the gang is just…facepalm. I wouldn’t call myself a fan yet, but I am willing to listen to their future comebacks. Pose. Ends post. Pose.
