Rich Man, Poor Woman Drama Review

image

Plot: Basically a very successful CEO of an internet company (Next Innovation) meets this girl in her last year of college who can’t find a job. He has a cold and horrible personality while she’s your usual bright girl, but this drama is not filled with romance.

Shun Oguri plays the CEO Toru Hyuga, and he is an amazing actor. He is my favorite character because his personality is just awesome LOL. Also he is super cool in the drama, he’s this genius computer guy who creates lots of technology stuff. (I don’t really want to spoil a lot, sorry for the crappy description)

Makoto Natsui played by Satomi Ishihara is the smart college student who gets employed. I have mixed feelings about her, sometimes I’m like “U GO GIRL” then I find her unbelievably stupid. Overall I still like her, they make a cute pair.

The two second leads are actually siblings in the drama. One thing, WHAT IS UP WITH THEIR HAIR. SO FUGLY. It annoyed me so much throughout the drama gaaaah. Other than that…the second female lead wasn’t as annoying as most second leads in jdramas. She only tried to sabotage their relationship one time (and it backfired), and rest of the time she just acted as their friend (sincerely).

Now about the drama itself, it was okay. Despite the horrible name, the first few episodes were actually exciting. Then it reaaaaaally dragged when it reached episode 5. It was focusing way too much on the internet company and the whole crisis. The romance was really put on a halt until episode 8 (if you watch this drama it’s okay to just skip 5 and 6, not missing much since the recap covers it). They did show character developments though, how Toru starts to change for the better because of Makoto.

There were cute moments between the two leads, but the last two episode annoyed me so much UGH. Oh and since it’s a jdrama there are loooots of inspirational speeches LOL. Sometimes it was cheesy.
Overall I liked it, a nice short drama (only 11 episodes). I really love Shun Oguri’s acting, I feel like he made up for everything else that annoyed me. If you don’t like lovey dovey dramas then this is good for you. It has a strong plot around the company and the romance is waved in nicely with it. Time to watch the specials now~

EXO COMEBACK!!!

I been gone for awhile and letting Cassis do all the posting because…….FINALS TT_TT BUT IT’S ALL OVER NOW AND I SCREWED IT ALL UP ANYWAYS. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMER~~!!!

FIRST. OOOOOOOMMMMMMG EXO MY BABIES ARE BACK. I didn’t like the song “Wolf” at first but after watching the mv (at least ten times) and learning the meaning of the lyrics through the Chinese version (prefer that one) I LOVE IT. The dance cracked me up so much LOL.

Everyone looks amazing in the comeback, besides Kai and his…dreadlocks. Gawd who’s the stylist?! And before this comeback I didn’t find Kris as attractive as my biases but now he looks pretty hot to me. Sehun’s colorful hair is awesome, I hate how they dyed Luhan’s hair dark red in the comeback stages though. I like him blonde ;~; Aaaaaah I’m just so happy EXO is back xD This feeling is just like when they debuted, probably because they were gone for freaking over a year.

PROUD TO BE EXOTIC.
AAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Probably been around for awhile, but I just found it and it’s hilarious. Shoujo is never the same again.

When I first watched Midori no Hibi, I thought this was one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen.

A story about a naked girl turning into a teenage boy’s right hand on one fine sunny day.

What’s worse is how normal it seemed after watching a few more episodes.

SM Entertainment: Large Groups

I feel like the reason SM Entertainment debuts large numbered groups such as Super Junior, SNSD and EXO is because they have too many trainees.

Too many trainees, but don’t want to have too many groups. Why not combine them all and debut them in the same group? They only need one good singer and one good dancer. The rest are just there for eye candy or whatever is needed.

Other companies have large groups, but I always think this of SM Entertainment.

Paparazzi: Son Ho Young

image
I may sound cold and uncaring, but when I read that the reporters were blocking Son Ho Young’s way into the hospital rooms after his suicide attempt I wasn’t disgusted by them. It’s nothing new. Reporters swarming and ready to attack.

What privacy?

My opinion changed when the manager begged them to let Son Ho Young live. Get out of his way, murderers. Someone is dying and all you care about the next article? Unbelievable, but believable.

What do the reporters think? That’s all I want to know.

Movie Review: The Grand Heist

image
If you liked The Thieves, you’ll probably enjoy The Grand Heist.

The Grand Heist is a historical comedy movie about a gang of thieves who steal ice blocks from the royal storage rooms to stop corrupt officials from monopolizing.

I love these types of movies with thieves plotting to steal valuable items. I personally love historical kdramas and kmovies, but even if you don’t like historical films you’ll like this one. This movie made me sad and angry, but it made me laugh most of the time.

The thieves:
image
Lee Duk Moo (Cha Tae Hyun): The leader of the gang. He’s the one who came up with the plan. Smart man.
image
Baek Dong Soo (Oh Ji Ho): He was the guard for the royal ice storage, but now he’s part of Lee Duk Moo’s plan.
image
Suk Daehyun (Shin Jung Geun): A 40 year old explosives expert with hearing problems. His hearing problem made me laugh - way to kill the mood. He has a shining moment in one scene.
image
Kim Jae Joon (Song Jongho): A master of disguise. Apparently no one knows what he really looks like. He has a mistress, ooh la la.
image
Kim Chul Joo (Kim Gil Dong): A transportation expert. I thought he was scary and intimidating at first. He barely has screen time, poor thing.
image
Hong Suk Chang (Go Chang Suk): A 43 year old tomb raiding expert. That’s obviously not actually him, but that’s the profile picture of him in the drama so I’m using it. His hairstyles are cute and he farts a lot.
image
Jang Soo Gyun (Sung Dong Il): The money man. I thought nothing of him at first, but poor guy. Someone just untie him, okay?
image
Seol Hwa (Lee Chae Young): Information specialist. According to wiki she’s a “spy-cum-gisaeng”. Somebody please tell me what that is.
image
Nani (Kim Hyang Gi): She doesn’t have a big role being a kid and all, but she’s a rumor spreader.
image
Baek Soo Ryun (Min Hyorin): Diving expert. She’s the younger sister of Baek Dong Soo and Lee Duk Moo’s love interest. She joins the team late into the movie. She shows a lot of leg in this movie. How scandalous of her. I thought those long white dresses worn as underwear were too revealing in those times.
image
Jung Goon (Cheon Bo Geun): He was an unexpected member of the team. He helps Daehyun with his explosives.

I recommend this movie to everyone.

Baek Ji Young is Pregnant!!!

image

I love looooooove this couple so I am really happy that they are getting married this June. Then allkpop announced she was pregnant!! I literally laughed out loud because I was like I KNEEEEEEEEEEEW IT. HAHHAHA NO WONDER. Apparently she’s in her 4th months of pregnancy already. It’s okay if it’s a “shot gun” wedding, who cares as long as they are happy together. Awwwwww she’s gonna be a mommy! So happy for them, congratulations!!!

Thorn Flower Korean Drama Rant

image

Synopsis (taken from DramaWiki): Jun Se Mi was once a nice and pure person. But that all changes when she is betrayed by her lover, loses her family, and raped. Her traumatic past pushes her on a path of vengeance against the people who wronged her and made her life into shambles.

Since it’s a rant so it’s going to be full of spoilers.

I watched a performance of 4Minute without Hyuna and read some of the comments. Some people say 4Minute is perfect without Hyuna and others say Hyuna is 4Minute.

I thought about other groups when one of their members are missing during a performance. It doesn’t look the same if you’re used to seeing a certain number of people in that group.

I remember reading people say they didn’t know who Zinger is and SECRET is better off at 3 since they had a center.

People didn’t care about SHINee as much without Jonghyun and said it wasn’t worth it without him.

Are they fans of the group or just that one person? As a group, no matter how hard you try it doesn’t matter unless you’re a whole. I guess it’s good if you want to be thought of as a unit and it’s a compliment if you’re that missing person.

I just feel a little bad for the group.

First Impression: LC9-MaMa Beat

I knew they were debuting but I didn’t pay attention to them, their mv popped up on my youtube so I watched it. I looked up LC9 and I got pictures/links of guns, so I guess that kind of make sense why their mv was so violent.

At first it was just these guys fighting, and I was just like wth.

image

Then LOLOLOLOL WHAT IS THIS? SUPAPOWER OR FIREBALL OR WUTEVER U ARE FORMING. Oh and the guy he hits survived this energy ball with like no injuries.

image

I didn’t think there would be blood in this mv. Is this gonna get banned for violence? So you survived his fireball but you bleed like crazy when he hits you on the head. Kay.

Anyways then they continue to beat each other up like crazy and it’s getting disturbing for me to watch. Oh and he’s not dead yet after getting hit in the head like ten times with a brick and metal stick.

image

Hard to see there but he’s getting kicked in the balls. LOL can this get any worse? I want to stop watching but let’s just see how long it takes for this guy to just die.

image

HAHAHHAHA I SHOULDN’T BE LAUGHING BUT LOLOLOLOL. OMG. This is a different guy getting chopped up but…….seriously. Is this really a kpop mv? I’m not watching a gruesome video game right?

I managed to finish. Gawd that was awful. I hate violence, especially when it’s this gruesome. I do think sometimes netizens make a big deal out of nothing but this one, just horrible. Don’t like the concept, I didn’t even get to see a nice face of the members. Just them screaming and squishing their face cuz they are in so much “pain”. Attractive. Not interested in them at all now.

TEEN TOP Rant: Niel

I read that TEEN TOP’s Niel was asked out by a JYP girl group member. I could care less about that. What I wanted to know was: who’s Niel?

image
That’s Niel.

I tried to find a good picture of him, but I couldn’t. He doesn't look good in any picture. He is not good-looking in the slightest. I don’t know your personality or character, but you are not eye candy.

I saw him before and I had a guess that Niel was him from the comments that said he’s the ugliest in the group. I haven’t seen the rest of the members but so far I agree, but then again, the other members don’t look any better.

I think I heard him sing too. If I’m thinking of the same person then he makes my eyes and ears bleed. No thank you.

Wow, so ugly.

I recently watched a clip of We Got Married with Kwanghee and Sunhwa. The way this boy eats - it’s disgusting. I was thoroughly grossed out. You have a spoon and chopsticks. Use them. Nasty. So disgusting. What’s wrong with this boy.

You're the Best Lee Soon Shin

I just started watching this drama, I got to episode 5 yesterday. I actually really like it, the storyline is typical but the casting is great. I was excited for Yoo In Na but…..I hate her role LOL. I would of hated her so much if I didn’t watch Queen Inhyun’s Man. IU’s acting is…..pretty good. She pulled off the crying scenes well but her phone calls are a bit fake. I hope she gets better as the drama progresses. The lead actor Jo Jung Suk (Shin Joon Ho), I had mixed feelings about him because…he’s a lot older than IU and I never seen any of his dramas before. But so far, I think he does an amazing job portraying his character, I think he has a new fan~

The storyline is slow, but there’s 50 episodes so I guess it’s understandable. I really felt bad for Lee Soon Shin though, in the beginning I felt like she was treated like shit LOL. I love her mom though, one of the nicest K-drama moms I’ve seen. I can’t wait for people to start taking Lee Soon Shin seriously, show them haters!
